ACCESSIBILITY INFORMATION

Marlborough Hotel welcomes guests with accessibility needs and will always make reasonable adjustments wherever possible. Due to the architectural layout of the building, the hotel does not offer full step free facilities and does not have lifts on the premises. Guests with limited mobility may find certain areas more suitable than others and are kindly encouraged to contact the hotel in advance so that we may advise on suitability and provide the best available assistance.

1. RESERVATION AND BOOKING TERMS

• All room rates include VAT at the prevailing rate.
• A valid credit or debit card is required to secure every reservation.
• Your reservation is guaranteed until the day of arrival and may be reassigned thereafter if unclaimed.
• Reservations are made by room type rather than specific room. Rooms within a category share similar size and amenities although décor may vary.
• A security pre authorisation of one hundred pounds is taken at check in and released at departure following a satisfactory inspection.
Room Rates, Taxes and Optional Extras
• Marlborough Hotel operates a dynamic pricing model and room rates may fluctuate based on demand, availability and seasonal variation.
• When you make a reservation request, you will be provided with the total price for the rooms and number of nights selected. The price you pay is the price quoted to you at the time of booking.
• Room prices are per room, per night and inclusive of VAT at the applicable rate at the time of your reservation. If the rate of VAT changes between your reservation date and your stay, the VAT rate applied may change, however the total price you pay will remain the same as originally confirmed.
• Continental breakfast is not included in the room price unless stated otherwise and may be added as an optional extra at the time of booking or at check in.
• Up to two children aged eight years or younger may enjoy continental breakfast free of charge per one paying adult purchasing a full continental breakfast.

2. CANCELLATION POLICY

• Cancellations received by 2 pm local time, fourteen days prior to arrival receive a full refund.
• Cancellations within fourteen days of arrival are non refundable.
• Cancellations within seven days of arrival are non refundable.
• Non arrivals will be charged in full.
• Seasonal and promotional bookings may carry specific terms.

3. ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE

Check In
• Check In time is 3 pm.
• Reception closes around 9 pm. For later arrivals, pre arranged self check in instructions will be provided once your arrival time is confirmed.
• Early Check In earlier than 3 pm and late Check In later than 9 pm may be arranged at an hourly rate and must be requested at the time of booking.
Check Out
• Check Out time is 10.30 am.
• Late Check Out until 12.30 pm is available upon request, subject to availability and may incur an additional charge.
• Room keys must be returned at reception. Charges may apply for lost or unreturned keys.

4. HOTEL FACILITIES AND GUEST ESSENTIALS

Wi Fi
• Complimentary high speed Wi Fi is available throughout the hotel.
• Uninterrupted service cannot be guaranteed and usage is at the guest’s own responsibility.
• The hotel accepts no liability for data or device related issues.
Parking
• Limited on site parking spaces are available on a first come first served basis.
• Reservation is not possible.
• On street parking permits may be available for a small charge.
• Guests using on site parking must provide their vehicle registration number at check in.
• Guests are responsible for any damage they may cause to other vehicles.
• The hotel accepts no liability for loss, theft or damage to vehicles or their contents.
Breakfast
• Continental breakfast is available for £5.99 per person for direct bookings only.
• Breakfast may be reserved during booking or at check in.
• Served between 8.00 am and 10.00 am in buffet style.
• Breakfast is served on a self-serving basis without serving staff, allowing guests to help themselves freely from the buffet selection.
• Food and drink must not be removed from the breakfast room.
• Appropriate attire is required. Sleepwear, bathrobes or incomplete clothing are not permitted.
• Refunds cannot be provided if breakfast is missed for personal reasons.

5. SMOKING AND VAPING POLICY

• Marlborough Hotel is a strictly non smoking property.
• Smoking or vaping indoors is prohibited.
• Evidence of smoking or vaping will result in a cleaning and restoration fee of two hundred pounds.
• Guests may be required to vacate immediately without refund, including charges for additional nights if the room cannot be used.
• Further specialist cleaning charges may apply.

6. HOUSEKEEPING SERVICE

• Housekeeping operates daily between 9 am and 3 pm.
• Additional towels and refreshments may be collected from reception.
• If a Do Not Disturb sign is displayed, housekeeping will attempt service the next day.
• Linen is changed every second day. For long stays, bedding is refreshed after three days unless otherwise requested.
• Light and full cleans alternate throughout the week.

7. CLEANLINESS AND ROOM CONDITION

• Rooms must be left in a reasonable condition.
• Excessive cleaning or specialist restoration incurs a fee of two hundred and forty pounds including VAT.
• Where a room cannot be reoccupied due to misuse, charges for loss of revenue may apply.

8. VISITORS AND OCCUPANCY

• Only registered guests may stay in hotel rooms.
• Guests are responsible for visitor behaviour.
• Undeclared additional adults incur a charge of fifty pounds per person per night.
• The hotel may cancel a reservation without refund if occupancy exceeds the number booked.

9. CHILDREN AND MINORS

• Individuals under eighteen must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
• Parents or guardians are responsible for supervision, behaviour and any damage caused by minors.
• Alcohol may not be consumed by persons under eighteen.
• Minors may not remain in communal areas after 22.00 unless accompanied by an adult.

10. DAMAGES, LOSSES AND ADDITIONAL CHARGES

• Guests are financially responsible for any damage, breakage or loss.
• All incidents must be reported immediately.
• A detailed report and invoice will be issued and must be settled within forty eight hours.
• A charge of one hundred pounds applies for soiled bedding, carpets, walls, furniture or décor.
• Loss of room nights due to damage or contamination may also be charged.
Review of Damage Charges
Guests who believe a damage charge has been applied in error may request a review within seven days of receiving the invoice. The hotel will investigate promptly and provide a written outcome.

11. LOST PROPERTY

• The hotel is not responsible for items left unattended.
• Items found are stored for fourteen days before being disposed of.
• Perishable items are removed immediately.
• Proof of identity is required for collection.

12. FIRE SAFETY AND GUEST RESPONSIBILITY

• Guests must follow all fire safety instructions displayed throughout the hotel.
• Fire exits and escape routes must remain unobstructed at all times.

• Hazardous, flammable or illegal items must not be brought onto the premises.
• Guests are expected to act responsibly for their own safety and the safety of others in the absence of CCTV monitoring.

13. BEHAVIOUR, CONDUCT AND RESPECT

• The hotel maintains a zero tolerance policy toward violence, threats or abusive behaviour.
• Excessive noise or disturbance after 22.00 is not permitted.
• Repeated unacceptable behaviour may result in removal without refund.
• The hotel accepts no responsibility for harm caused by a guest’s conduct toward others.

14. HOTEL LIABILITY

• Liability for loss or damage is limited to twenty five pounds except where UK law requires otherwise.
